Bart Liefers studied Physics and Astronomy (BSc) with a minor in Computer Science, and Game- and Media Technology (MSc) at Utrecht University. He previously worked for CWI as a scientific programmer in the Intelligent Systems group, and joined the Diagnostic Image Analysis Group (Radboudumc) as a PhD candidate in March 2016. His PhD was part of the AMI project. His research is focused on deep learning algorithms for automated retinal image analysis, supervised by Clarisa Sanchez.
