Alessandra Serianni obtained her Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences at the University of Milan, where she focused on the analysis and development of deep learning methods for inverse problems in Diffuse Optical Tomography. In March 2026, she joined the qurAI Cardiovascular Lab at Amsterdam UMC as a postdoctoral researcher, under the supervision of Prof. Ivana Išgum. Her current research centers on the development and evaluation of AI-based methods for automatic coronary calcium quantification in contrast-enhanced CT scans, with the aim of improving cardiovascular disease risk assessment.
