Roland Németh completed his Master’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence at Radboud University, following the Intelligent Technology track with a specialisation in Healthcare and Neurotechnology. He did his graduation project with the Diagnostic Image Analysis Group (DIAG) at RadboudUMC, titled “Advancing Macrophage-based Biomarkers for Improved Immunotherapy Response Prediction”. His thesis focused on improving the segmentation of macrophages in whole-slide histopathological images and exploring potential biomarkers for immunotherapy response in non-small cell lung cancer patients. With his graduation project, he also contributed to the IGNITE data toolkit.
He started his PhD at the University of Amsterdam with qurAI group under the supervision of Clarisa Sánchez in October 2025. As part of the Lifelong VISION consortium, he is working on developing data-driven solutions for patient profiling in eye care.
