Recently, an interview with Clarisa Sánchez Gutiérrez, group director at the QurAI and Full Professor at UvA, was published in Het Financieele Dagblad website. The interview is focusing on the future of medical AI and challenges that the field is currently facing, such as lack of diverse medical datasets, where majority of data will not mostly come from Caucasian man but will be used to represent also females and people of diverse ethnicity. Unbiased, diverse datasets are needed to create robust and fair artificial intelligence medical tools. She hopes that the use of AI in medical field will translate to patients experiencing better care.
