Andrés graduated with a Master´s in medical engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. He completed his Master’s Thesis in the Imaging company Antaros Medical on renal blood flow prediction from Phase Contrast MRI. He has worked as a Research Assistant at Uppsala University in mining techniques for whole-body Dixon MRI. Afterward, he was employed as a Data Scientist in AstraZeneca, working on molecular property prediction, knowledge graphs, and Real-World Evidence. In 2023, Andrés started his PhD as part of the ELLIS PhD Program in the Medical Image Computing group in the German Cancer Research Center and the qurAI group under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Klaus Maier-Hein and Prof. Dr. Clarisa Sánchez, on multi-centric CTA analysis in stroke-suspected patients. Andrés visited qurAI in 2024 and 2025.
