Jelmer obtained my PhD in 2017 at Utrecht University (UMC Utrecht) with a thesis entitled Machine learning based analysis of cardiovascular images in quantitative image analysis group at UMC Utrecht, where he stayed as a PostDoc and moved with the group to Amsterdam UMC in 2019. He started as an Assistant Professor in the Applied Analysis group in Twente in March 2020.
